The Nigel Program for Adults with Disabilities is a residential program for adults with disabilities who are between 19 and 55 years old at the time of admission.

Nigel has two buildings: Nigel House, a licensed residential care facility with 25 residents, and Harriet House, a group home with 15 residents.

The Nigel Program for Adults with Disabilities includes:

  • 24-hour personal care and support at Nigel House and 16-hour personal support at Harriet House
  • Clinical interdisciplinary team providing nursing, therapy, social work, recreational activities and dietitian services.
  • Active living programs

Most of the residents at Nigel House and some at Harriet House use mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs. Their disabilities are primarily physical and result from trauma, neurological degenerative diseases, or birth anomalies. Each resident has unique combinations of complex health conditions that compromise their ability to work and live independently.
